It is that time of year again! Time for JCCUD to perform our Natural Gas annual leak survey. This leak survey is done annually on our distribution system. Beginning the first of June 2026 and continuing for a few months, you will see our technicians working in and around businesses and homes in Jefferson and Cocke Counties. The leak survey is done on all schools, businesses, and churches as is required by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Our greatest commitment at JCCUD is to safety and one way we accomplish that is through leak surveys. Being proactive in finding and repairing leaks in which most are minor, prevents future hazards.
