Itโs time for another ! We are excited to continue our partnership with Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter to highlight adoptable pets while introducing you to various members of the NNPD.
This week, Police Aide Lakimbrea DโAmico had the opportunity to meet Blue and Kona, two 11-year-old Husky mixes. Blue (light brown fur) and Kona (gray/black fur) were surrendered to the shelter due to a divorce, and are looking for a home to spend their golden years in. The shelter would love it if someone wanted to adopt them both together, but it isnโt a requirement. They both are still active, enjoy play time in the yard, rolling in the grass and getting spoiled with treats. They are both tolerant of children, but may do best in a home with older kids if at all.
Both Blue and Kona are housebroken, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and ready to find their new home. For more information on Blue, click here: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/PP4615/60938336. For more on Kona, click here: https://24Petconnect.com/DetailsMain/PP4615/60938364.
Police Aide DโAmico has served with NNPD for nine years. She is assigned to North Precinct, Watch I. As a police aide, she assists sworn officers with many vital non-criminal law enforcement functions, as well as performing public assistance, public information, and departmental support tasks. In addition to her police aide duties, she is a general instructor, a member of the Drone Unit and is a Crisis Intervention Team instructor.
A native of Newport News, DโAmico has a 3-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix named Chloe at home. She is a dog lover and enjoys dog sitting in her spare time, along with spending time with family and close friends.
