The Cityโ€™s annual Memorial Day Ceremony, presented by American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25, will take place at 11 a.m. at the Victory Arch.

The Virginia War Museum will be open Memorial Day from 9 a.m.โ€“4 p.m. with free admission in honor of all members of the military who died in service to our country.

As we enjoy the holiday weekend, let us take time to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1โ€“4, and one of the top causes for older children and adults, too. The hardest part? Nearly all of these deaths are preventable.

โš ๏ธ City Hall Parking & Operations Update โš ๏ธ

Please be advised of temporary parking and operational impacts in the City Hall area from May 15 through May 26.

๐Ÿšง Parking Lot Closures
The 23rd Street parking lots at 98 23rd St. and 2295 Harbor Rd. will be closed from 6 a.m. Friday, May 15, through 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26.

๐Ÿš— All vehicles must be removed by the end of the day on Thursday, May 14.

๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ Limited parking will be available at City Hall during this time. Guests are encouraged to allow extra time for parking and travel.

Alternative parking options include:
โ€ข Superblock Parking Garage โ€“ 2601 Washington Ave. (fees apply)
โ€ข Huntington Surface Lot โ€“ 2500 Huntington Ave. (fees apply)
โ€ข On-street public parking where permitted
