Our little Dinos have been busy learning, creating, and having SO much fun during their first two weeks of preschool! ✨

From making adorable crafts,reading Dinosaurs Don’t Eat Their Classmates, to practicing our letters in fluffy shaving cream, every day has been filled with fun and discovery!

We are loving watching our little Dinos learn, grow, and make new memories! 💚🦖✨

The newsletters will also highlight social-emotional learning according to the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL).

What a special way to kick off a brand-new school year at DECC! We were excited to welcome our Superintendent and members of the School Board as they visited our school and helped celebrate the first day with our Denbigh Dinos! 🦖✨

NNPS has transitioned to a new mass communication platform hosted through the Apptegy software company! This includes a new Newport News Public Schools app that will allow families, staff and community members to receive information from the school division and their student’s school.

What to know:
- Access news, updates, bus information and more all from one place on your phone.
- The app can be downloaded on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- Administrators will continue to connect with families and staff by sending text messages, emails and phone calls.
- Apptegy provides automatic translation in more than 100 languages, allowing families to receive communications in their preferred language.
