May 19th: Math

May 21st: Science (5th Grade Only)

To ensure our students are ready to shine, please keep these three things in mind:

What a week! 🍎✨
​We just wrapped up an incredible Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week here at Katherine Johnson Elementary, last week, and our hearts (and stomachs) are full!
​To keep things exciting, we celebrated with an "Underground Spirit Week," where our staff shared some hidden school spirit and extra laughs behind the scenes. 🤫🎉
​A massive thank you to our amazing community partners and supporters who made the week extra special:
​Tastefully Philly for the delicious local eats that kept us fueled and ready to go! 🥪🔥
​Our wonderful PTA for the sweet treats and thoughtful surprises throughout the week. 🧁🍭
​The Sunshine Committee for the extra treats and special gifts that truly brightened everyone's day! ☀️🎁
​Our amazing Cafeteria Staff for providing a fantastic lunch that everyone thoroughly enjoyed! 🍕❤️

Join us for the NNPS & CNU STEM Community Day “Defying Gravity” Cardboard Sculpting Contest!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who can participate?
Families, students, and community members who enjoy building, creating, and working as a team—both within and beyond NNPS

🎨 What will you do?

Design and build a futuristic cardboard structure
Work together as a team
Explore creativity, innovation, and STEM skills

Supporting our military families is a mission that truly reaches for the stars! Katherine Johnson Elementary is officially adopting a military unit, and we need your help to make a difference.

From now until May 22nd, we are collecting donations to show our gratitude and support for those who serve. Whether it’s a quick snack or essential toiletries, every item helps us fly high in service to our community.

We are collecting:
