Happy Grandparents Day to all of our amazing Yates Grandparents! Today’s 5th annual Grands with Grands was such a joy because of you. Thank you for showing up, loving on our Mates, and filling our building with stories, hugs, and smiles. Yates is a stronger community because of the love and wisdom you bring to our children.

Parents please join the PTA! It helps our kids so much! The PTA provides so many activities, supplies, and fun for our students! It doesn't mean you have to volunteer, but of course you can! 😉 We’re up to 117 members and hope to have 200 by 3 o’clock tomorrow and we need your help!

We’re kicking off the Yates PTA Member-Thon, and we need EVERYONE to help us make this happen! ❤️⚓💙

Parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, students, friends, neighbors and community members — ANYONE can join! And remember: joining the PTA does NOT mean you have to volunteer! Your membership alone supports our students, teachers and everything we’re working to bring to Yates this year.

Please read this important information from NNPS! Yates is already posting information on our Apptegy platform including how to sign up for ClassDojo for our returning and new Yates Families! Teachers are already starting to create their classes and sending out messages to their families! Yates uses Classdojo for most of our communications but will also use Apptegy.

A huge shout out and thank you to Boy Scout Troop 151 for taking care of Yates as part of an Eagle Scout project. The picnic area that you have created for our Mates is beautiful and I can’t wait to use it.

At Yates Elementary, we know that every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Every lesson, every conversation, and every connection helps our Yates Mates build the knowledge and confidence they need for success.

To help families plan ahead, we've created our 2026–2027 Family Vacation Planner in both English and Spanish. We encourage families to schedule vacations and appointments after school hours and/or during planned school breaks whenever possible so students can be in school, engaged in learning, and connected with their classmates.

Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. Together, we can ensure every Yates Mate has the opportunity to succeed every day.
