🚗 Personal Property Taxes are assessed on vehicles, boats, trailers, motorcycles, motor homes, and certain other taxable personal property located in the city.

As we approach the end of our journey with our interns, there is a bittersweet feeling throughout the Newport News City Treasurer's Office. This was the very first year we welcomed interns into our office, and what an incredible experience it has been.

Over the past several weeks, our interns have brought enthusiasm, curiosity, fresh ideas, and a genuine willingness to learn. In return, they have become a valued part of our team, reminding us of the importance of mentorship, collaboration, and investing in the next generation of professionals.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and grateful for the positive impact they have made during their time with us. While we are sad to see this chapter come to an end, we are excited to watch them continue to grow and succeed in their future endeavors.

To our interns, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the energy you brought to our office each day. We hope your experience with the Newport News City Treasurer's Office has been as rewarding for you as it has been for us.

Although this internship is coming to a close, one thing is certain—this is only the beginning. We look forward to continuing this program and welcoming future interns for years to come.

Thank you for making history as our very first intern class. You will always hold a special place in the Newport News City Treasurer's Office, and we wish you nothing but success in all that lies ahead.
