Streets in the Balboa Peninsula section of Newport Beach were flooded with water on Friday afternoon after forecasters issued high surf warnings for the coast.

What a surreal sight! These are false killer whales, right in front of Ruby's on Balboa Pier today. This pod of 50 was originally spotted right in front of Newport Harbor, the first time this species has been seen in our area in three years.
