Week One of Camp 145 2026 is in the books!

This week, our campers learned from first responders and community partners, explored West Point Lake in the Floating Classroom, visited Georgia Untamed Zoo, completed a hands-on Yamaha project, participated in a painting class, Stop the Bleed training, and had plenty of fun along the way.

Today, we wrapped up the week with our Camp 145 graduation. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and talents to help create an unforgettable experience for these kids. We appreciate our community partners for making Camp 145 a success year after year.

We are looking forward to next week with the 11-12 year old campers!

In today's digital world, video games are a central part of many children's lives, but
they also come with important safety considerations. This webinar is designed to
help parents better understand the online gaming environment and recognize
potential risks their children may encounter.
Key topics will include: dangers of interacting with strangers online, how age
verification works (and where it can fall short), and how to ensure games are age
appropriate. Parents will learn how personal information can be unintentionally
shared through screen names and in-game conversations, and why
understanding the difference between private and public servers matters.
Additionally, you'll receive practical strategies for setting up parental controls,
adjusting privacy settings, and establishing healthy time limits for gaming. By the
end of the session, parents will feel more confident in supporting their children to
enjoy gaming safely, responsibly, and with greater awareness.

Our prayers are with the Carrollton Police Department - Georgia and the Krish family.

We stand with our brothers and sisters during this difficult time and honor Officer Krish's service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting others.

Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

He is healed and home with Jesus. While we are heartbroken on earth, what a celebration Dustin is having in Heaven.

Chief Richards put it best…..Dustin was the best of us. He was unwavering in his duty, courageous, and faithful until the end.

Please, please continue to pray for the love of his life, Emily, Sgt. Chad Krish (his brother), and his entire family…..blood and blue. 💙

To know him was to love him.

“Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

Thank you to former Atlanta Braves player Otis Nixon for taking the time to speak with participants in the Coweta County Detention Center’s WIRED 4 Hope program Tuesday evening.
WIRED 4 Hope is a four-week program designed to help incarcerated individuals develop leadership skills, build self-worth, and learn healthier ways to respond to adversity and life’s challenges. Through guest speakers and group discussions, participants are encouraged to make positive changes that can lead to long-term success when they return to their communities.
Our goal is to provide hope, accountability, and practical tools that can help reduce recidivism and create opportunities for lasting change.
We appreciate Mr. Nixon sharing his personal experiences and encouraging our participants as they continue their journey toward a better future.
