GEORGE ALVAREZ:
Originally from San Fernando, California, George Alvarez is a graduate of West Georgia Technical College, where he earned an Associate Degree.
George joined the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office in August 2023, beginning his career as a Detention Officer assigned to the Jail Division. Through his dedication, discipline, and commitment to service, George has proven to be a valuable member of our agency.
He now begins the next chapter of his career with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office as he transitions to the Patrol Division as a Deputy Sheriff.



BRIAN PLUMMER
Originally from Miami, Florida, Brian Plummer graduated from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School.
Brian joined the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office in November 2024, beginning his career as a Detention Officer assigned to the Jail Division. Through his dedication, discipline, and commitment to service, Brian has proven to be a valuable member of our agency.
He now begins the next chapter of his career with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office as he transitions to the Patrol Division as a Deputy Sheriff.

After 35 years of dedicated service, Lieutenant Keith Addis is retiring from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
Lt. Addis began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 1994 as a dispatcher. In 1997, he began serving as a Deputy Sheriff, continuing in that role and building a long and distinguished career dedicated to serving the citizens of Coweta County.
Throughout his career, Lt. Addis served in the Patrol Division, later moving to the Traffic Unit, where he worked traffic enforcement and investigated serious and fatality crashes, supervising as a Sergeant in the unit. In 2013, he returned to the Patrol Division after being promoted to Lieutenant, where he continued to lead, mentor, and serve our deputies and community.
After 35 years of service, Lt. Addis leaves behind a tremendous legacy of dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens he served.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Addis, and thank you for 35 years of service!
We wish you all the best in retirement. You’ve certainly earned it!

We have removed our previous post regarding the suspect wanted for the murder of Warm Springs Police Officer Chris Fisher.

That suspect is no longer a threat to the community, as he took his own life when confronted by law enforcement in Anderson County, South Carolina. With that, we have chosen to remove his name and image from our page and instead use this space to honor the life and legacy of Officer Chris Fisher.

Officer Fisher was well known and respected by many current and former members of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. He chose a life of service to his community, and his ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Please continue to keep Officer Fisher’s family, friends, fellow officers, and all of his brothers and sisters in law enforcement in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
