25 years…

As I got up this morning and began to get ready for the day, I had a thought. There is a whole new generation of Americans who don’t know what this day was like all those years ago. They don’t know the fear that was felt, the heartbreak, the anger, or the unity that followed. To them, this is just a part of our country’s history.

That is why, as time goes on, it is more important than ever that we never forget what happened on this day so many years ago. To remember is to honor those who fell… the anguished fallen, the courageous fallen. Their sacrifices will forever have meaning because we, the living, refuse to forget them.

Today I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of John Wallace Middle School after their recent renovations. I also got to see the items that were in their 25 year time capsule, very cool!

Thank you to everyone on the building committee who helped make this renovation happen!
