What a fantastic turnout at the West Hartford’s Center Streets event last weekend! Our Safe Routes To School team was there helping to fit helmets, pump up tires, and host a fun, bike, safety, and skills course for all ages. It was a great day!

We're reminding the public, political signs CANNOT be placed on state property!

State law prohibits the posting of political advertising signs and posters on any state-owned property, including highways, roadways, railways, transit facilities, and rights-of-way.

CTDOT will remove all signs placed on state property and items will be stored at our nearest facility.

You've heard about the I-91, I-691, Route 15 Interchange improvement project in Meriden, right?

WELL, we have an important update for you! Starting WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, a new exit ramp is opening, Exit 64A, which will help reduce weaving and congestion. This exit will take you from Route 15 northbound to I-91 northbound, just south of the interchange.

But don't worry if you miss the exit! The existing ramp will still be in place, so you have another option to get to I-91 northbound.

We're excited to announce the completion of the Meriden Research Parkway Linear Trail!

This 2.4-mile trail, stretching from East Main Street in Meriden to the Wallingford town border, is open for everyone to walk, bike, and roll. It's a great way to get outside, exercise, and connect with the community!

Thank you to our federal, state, and local partners for working on this project and increasing connectivity in Meriden.

Today, we celebrated the installation of 21 new bus shelters in Hartford! This project, completed in partnership between CTDOT and the city of Hartford, will make public transportation more comfortable and accessible for riders.

And we’re not stopping there. Another 47 bus shelters are planned in Hartford, giving riders more protection from the sun, rain and snow, along with seating and real-time information signs.

Thank you to our partners at the city of Hartford and across the state for helping us improve the experience for Connecticut’s transit riders
