🚨 A Message from the Chief 🚨
This is a sincere thank you to my family, friends, my crew at Station 23, former Chief Dave M. at Thornhurst Fire, Jimmy S. at Ledgedale Fire, Chris and Mike D. at Lake Ariel Fire, and our mutual aid companies 55, 67, 35, and 37 for all of your prayers and concern.
I met with my surgeon today, and I begin treatment tomorrow. The plan includes medication and radiation to fight prostate cancer. The cancer is confined to one location, and the goal is to have me cancer-free by August.
Again, thank you to everyone who has reached out and kept me in your thoughts. As most of you know, I won’t be stopped by this s**t!
Sincerely,
23 Chief

🚒 2025 Year in Review — Calls for Service 🚒

As we reflect on 2025, we want to share a snapshot of the many ways our firehouse has served and protected our community this past year. Thanks to the dedication of our members and the support of our residents, we responded to a wide variety of emergencies and service calls.

🙏 Thank you to our firefighters, fire police, mutual aid partners, and community for your continued trust and support. Here’s to staying safe together in 2026!

🚨 Storm Precautions 🚨

We are aware of the storm that is moving into our area our area, and our crews are ready if needed. As conditions worsen, we strongly encourage everyone to stay home and off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

During severe weather, even routine calls can become more dangerous. We ask you to do your part: stay safe, stay home, and reserve emergency services for true emergencies only.

Tier 4 Restrictions begin at 12:01am on January 25th.

Thank you for helping us protect our community and our responders. ❤️🚒

Last night we had the honor of celebrating our Annual Chief’s Dinner, a special evening where we not only came together as a department, but also took time to recognize the dedication and service of some truly outstanding members.

👏 Congratulations to Charline Demuysere, recipient of the Chief’s Award, for everything she does and for her unwavering commitment to the station.
🚒 Congratulations to Steven Mulcahy, named Firefighter of the Year, for his hard work, dedication, and service to our community.

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to two members who are retiring after many years of service:
❤️ Pete Pardi
❤️ John Liddell

Thank you to everyone who continues to make our firehouse a family. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!

🍁🚒 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🍽

As we gather to enjoy good food and great company, we want to wish you a warm, safe, and joyful Thanksgiving! Before you turn on those ovens and fryers, here are a few important fire-safety tips to keep your holiday free from emergencies:

🔥 Thanksgiving Fire Safety Tips
• Stay in the kitchen when cooking on the stovetop—most cooking fires start when the cook steps away.
• Keep flammable items (like dish towels, oven mitts, and food packaging) away from the stovetop.
• Never leave your home while the turkey is roasting in the oven.
• Use turkey fryers outdoors only—away from buildings, decks, and anything that can burn.
• Turn pot handles inward to avoid spills and burns.
• Keep kids & pets at least 3 feet away from hot cooking areas.
• Have a lid nearby to smother small grease fires—never use water!
• Test your smoke alarms before the cooking begins.

From our firehouse to your home, we’re grateful for this community we serve.
Have a safe, happy, and delicious Thanksgiving! 🦃❤️
