Calling all vendors mark your calendars for August 9th. The Newfane Flea & Farmers is hosting a towns wide tag sale (all vendors welcome) (food vendors must contact Bill prior to event). Proceeds from the $20 fee for your spot will be donated to the NBFD Fire & Rescue. Let's all come together and make this event fabulous. Setup is 7am-8am for vendors & we're open 8am-2pm. DOWNED POWER LINES = STAY AWAY

If you come across a downed wire, always assume it is energized.

* Never touch it.
* Never drive over it.
* Never attempt to remove or cut trees or branches that are tangled in or resting on downed power lines.
* Keep children and pets away.

Stay at least 35 feet away and call 911 or your electric utility immediately.

A downed wire may not spark or make any noise, but it can still be deadly. When in doubt, stay back and let the professionals handle it.

Cooling Station available in Newfane Wednesday through Friday 8a-5p

The Vermont EMS Academy will open to the public as a cooling station this week from Wednesday through Friday - 8a to 5p.

Please help us spread the word to folks who could use it. Always remember to check on elderly and vulnerable individuals during periods of high heat and remain hydrated!

The Vernon Fire Association Inc. has launched an online store for anyone to be able to choose from a variety of high quality short sleeve, long sleeve, women’s & youth t-shirts as well as hoodies!

The store will only remain open through 07/12/26! All materials will be printed locally by Pure Green Tees in Dummerston, VT.

When placing your order, you can choose to have it shipped directly to you for an additional fee OR you can pick up your items at our station at a later date and time. Those dates and times will be determined and announced once the store closes and the items are being made.
