Our core values, like the U.S. Army's, are summarized by the acronym: "LDRSHIP" which signifies our role as leaders and role models in the community, particularly in difficult times. We recognize that these
are traits that we in fact value. We understand that we will be measured against these ideals and expected to rise to these standards. Our mission and core value statements are based on examples from other law enforcement and military services, but most importantly, were developed with the input of members of the Newcomerstown Police Department.
