History, history, and a side of fries! ⚓️🍟

Our latest Dock to Dish adventure was an absolute hit! We kicked things off exploring local history with our partners at the Custom House Maritime Museum Newburyport, then worked up an appetite heading over to The Grog!

Patrick O’Neill gave the kids an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of the kitchen and all four floors of this Newburyport landmark! 🐸✨ To top it off, he cooked up a delicious feast of chicken tenders and fries for the kids to enjoy.

Huge thank you to the Custom House and the wonderful crew at The Grog. Community partnerships make everything better! ❤️

From building working lighthouses to stepping inside a real restaurant kitchen… Week 4 of Dock to Dish was incredible!

Through our partnership with the Custom House Maritime Museum Newburyport, kids created their own lighthouses using simple electrical components, bringing maritime history to life through hands-on STEM.

Then it was off to Giuseppe's Fresh Pasta & Fine Food for an unforgettable experience.

Rob and Everton toured the kids through the kitchen, showed how pasta is made, helped them stuff cannolis, and treated them to a delicious spaghetti dinner.

Huge thank you to Giuseppe’s, their amazing staff, and Mark Audette for making this such a special day.

We are incredibly grateful to the Newburyport Rotary Club for their generosity and partnership.

Through their recent fundraiser, they presented us with a $10,000 donation, and we are truly humbled. Thank you for coming alongside us in our mission to serve the Newburyport community.

Because of partners like them, we are able to continue meeting people where they are and offering hope in meaningful, practical ways.

Week TWO of our Dock to Dish 4-Week Program was packed with hands-on fun, learning, and community love.

For Dock, kids in the community visited the Custom House Maritime Museum Newburyport and built their very own Dory boats, connecting creativity with Newburyport’s maritime history in the best way.

For Dish, we were thrilled to welcome Metzy's Cantina, who rolled in with one of their Metzy's Taqueria - Food Truck and gave the kids an unforgettable behind-the-scenes experience.

Lucien and Eric showed how a food truck operates, answered questions, shared their story, and prepared food just for our group.

We are thankful for the Custom House and Metzy's partnership to make this experience possible!

Be sure to watch the video to see all the learning, smiles, and joy from Week Two.
