Tonight (Sunday June 21st) at 5pm join us for "Fathers Day Trivia" at the Newbury Public Library. This trivia is not scaled down, and will be fun for anyone who enjoys a good trivia challenge. This is a typical trivia session with five rounds of twelve questions, and we imagine multi-generational teams to do quite well, especially in the music round! Top prize is a $25 LaValley's gift card, and there will be delicious snacks provided as well. So far, we only have a couple of teams signed up, so please: if you are a father, or have a father, or had a father, or know any fathers, come on down tonight at 5 for some father-related trivia. You can come as a team or come alone and maybe join a team or make a team on the fly. All are welcome!

Our knowledgeable educators present captivating stories about various species, their habitats, and the importance of conservation. With live reptiles on display, attendees can enjoy a hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of these incredible creatures.

Join our Adult Summer Reading Challenge! Earn chances to win by visiting the library, reading books, attending events, or exploring our "Library of Things." Sign up anytime during the challenge by picking up your weekly BINGO card at the library—complete a row of five squares—featuring fun prompts like "check out a puzzle" or "read a NH author"—and get a ticket to be entered into the weekly raffle for a prize like a gift card to a local business or other fun prizes. Participants can win only once for the weekly raffle, but your tickets will also be entered into the monthly prizes, which will be picked at the end of June, July and August. Then, wrap up the challenge with us at our summer party in late August to celebrate your accomplishments and mark the end of summer. Join us this Thursday June 18th at 4pm at the Newbury Public Library for an informative session, tailored for the public to educate individuals about cybercrimes and frauds targeting New Hampshire. Participants will gain knowledge on recognizing, avoiding, and responding to cyber threats, ensuring a safer and more confident digital experience.
The NH Municipal Cyber Defense Program, led by The ATOM Group in collaboration with US Homeland Security and the NH Department of Information Technology, is designed to protect New Hampshire communities from cyber threats and fraud. This grant-funded initiative aims to bolster the cyber defense capabilities of municipalities, helping to create a safer, more resilient digital infrastructure across the state.
