In the month of August 2026 the Middle Hope Fire Department has responded to 31 alarms, for a total of 254 calls for the year thus far. The Middle Hope Fire Department call breakdown is as follows

1 Structure Fire
3 Motor Vehicle Accidents
17 Automatic Alarms
2 CO calls
3 Tree and wires down
1 River Rescue
1 Car Fire
2 Smoke Investigations
1 Landing Zone

We attended community day with our other local agencies and did training with them as well.

The Middle Hope Fire Department offers our sincerest condolences to our brothers and sisters of the Town of Newburgh Police Department following the loss of a brother.

We may wear a different uniform but we are family and we grieve with you. Our prayers go out to the detective’s family and the entire police department.💙

Tuesday we discussed different ways to aid in lifting of vehicles and other heavy equipment to assist in extricating person in need. Followed by a basic airbag drill for newer firefighters who have never used them while also providing a quick refresher to the more experienced guys.
