The Council joined Caribbean Food Delights, local leaders, and members of the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council to celebrate the completion of a $17 million expansion project at the company’s frozen food manufacturing facility in Tappan, Rockland County. The project included facility upgrades and investments in new machinery and equipment automation.

We are thrilled for Caribbean Foods' owners, the HoSang family, whose commitment to their employees, the community and their Jamaican roots is truly inspirational. 🎉

Building a stronger manufacturing workforce starts with strong partnerships.

The Council of Industry’s collaboration with SUNY - The State University of New York is helping create new pathways for students to explore careers in manufacturing while ensuring employers have access to the skilled talent they need. By connecting education and industry, this partnership is strengthening workforce development across the Hudson Valley and helping prepare the next generation of manufacturing professionals.

Learn more about how the Council of Industry and SUNY are working together to build the workforce foundation for the future in our Spring 2026 issue of the HV Mfg: https://hvmfg.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/COI_HV_Mfg_2026_Spring_p43-building-the-workforce-foundation.pdf?v=1776640083

Cybersecurity is no longer optional for manufacturers in the defense supply chain.

As CMMC requirements roll out, companies that fail to prepare risk losing access to critical contracts and opportunities.

In the Spring 2026 HV Mfg, PKF O'Connor Davies' Thomas J. Demayo, Nick DeLena and Jim Szumlaski break down what Hudson Valley manufacturers need to know about CMMC compliance, why the timeline matters, and the practical steps companies can take now to stay competitive and secure.
