Last night Newburgh Fire trained on Search and Rescue at our training building. This is a vital building for improved hands on training which the crew is taking full advantage of.

As part of the EMS sustainability grant where we received a Lucas CPR device and payroll supplementation we also received 8 portable radios. Pictured below radios are the lifeline for our responders and this is a huge upgrade!! As always we’renhere for you!

Thanks to the grant-writing efforts of Capt. Ashford, we were honored to be awarded funding from the Gloria Mackenzie Grant Foundation for a new set of battery-powered Jaws of Life. We are extremely grateful to the Foundation for supporting our department and helping us obtain this vital lifesaving equipment. These battery-powered tools significantly enhance our operational capabilities by allowing greater mobility and faster deployment, as they do not rely on external pumps or hydraulic hoses. As always we’re here for you!!

Last night woddards wooden flags stopped by training to donate this beautiful flag. We take great pride in our fire department and the dedication the members have, but when the community steps up and shows us this type of gratitude it really shows we’re doing the right things in the right place. This is a special community we have and we’re proud to be a part of it. Thank you again sir for this beautiful donation it already has a place in the station and will be in full display soon!! We here at Newburgh Fire and Rescue are excited to announce the promotion of Anthony Wentworth from the position of Firefighter to Lieutenant. Now Lt. Wentworth has been with the department since 2016 and has since been a consistent and valued member of the department. Congrats to Lt. Wentworth we look forward to working with you in you’re new role!!

We’re currently out on western ave with an oil truck roll over. Western ave is shut down to local traffic at lindsey road north road side, carmel road north, chapman road western ave side and you can turn right onto wesrern ave from there and at the old fire station. We can’t pet people through so we appreciate your patience and thank you in advance. Their are personnel at each of these locations to advise you whethwr you can get to where your trying to get to or assist you in an alternate route. Again we appreciate your patience.

See you monday! We appreciate the support we regularly receive from the towns people this time around is no different. This money is being requested to outfit new members with vital PPE which they cannot operate without. As always, we’re here for you!!
