Folks, I appreciate each and every one of you. I wanted to send out a special thank you to those that allowed me to place a sign in your yard.

I had hoped to pick up all the signs today but a two hour appointment in Jackson turned into an all day affair. I will get those signs out of your yards tomorrow and I appreciate your patience.

One more plea:

As I feared, the weather tomorrow doesn't look favorable for voting. Please remember that in most races in this primary, whoever wins will take office later this year and be in office for the next four years.

Do you want a WORKING Constable that will serve you? Do you want a Constable that will patrol the district? Do you want a Constable that will respond to your emergencies and provide assistance? Do you want a full time Constable?

If that is the type of Constable that you want in your district the choice is clear....brave the rain and vote LENNY STOVER for Constable in District D of Dyer County.

Thank you!!

Lenny

Another voter question answered...

While campaigning I had a gentleman ask, "How much is a Constable's salary?" Imagine the shocked look on his face when I replied, "Zero - nothing." Now let me explain.

Constables have no salary. They are required to purchase and maintain their vehicles, purchase their own uniforms, leather gear and weapons, be bonded, and pay for their state mandated training.

Constables receive payments for each civil or criminal process that they serve (summons, subpoenas, writs, arrest warrants, evictions, etc.) The amount received depends on the type of process. The primary duty of a Constable is to serve process, per state law.

A truly working Constable can pretty much cover his/her expenses and hopefully make a few extra dollars. But again, there is no set salary for a Constable.

To be a Constable you have to be dedicated and sincere about serving your neighbors. I spent nearly two years as a full time volunteer deputy sheriff here in Dyer County and I worked hard on every shift and came out during my off duty time for a tornado, to be a storm spotter, and even to respond to a hostage situation. As you can see, I care about y'all. I even serve on the Millsfield Fire Department as a volunteer engineer. Your safety and peace matter to me. I have served the majority of my life and truly believe that this was God's intent for me. Each time I left law enforcement, God steered me back.

Since I am retired, I would be District D's FULL TIME Constable. I don't have another job to interfere with my Constable duties.

With over 27 years of law enforcement experience I am prepared to competently serve the community. I humbly ask for your vote and support, and I pledge to be the full time hard working Constable that District D deserves.

Since the question was asked last night, here is your District D voting information:

Early voting is at the Election Commision office at 113 W. Market St in Dyersburg (across the street from the south side of the courthouse.)
You can vote M-F 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Sat 9:00 AM until noon

The last day for early voting is April 30th.

The actual primary election is Tuesday, May 5th and you would vote at either the Millsfield Fire Department or the Bogota Community Center depending on where you live.

I strongly suggest early voting if possible. You never know about the weather or unexpected issues on election day.

Remember that the Constable race is on page 3 of the ballot (the last page) and is the only race on that page. My name is listed second on the ballet (they are in alphabetical order.

I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you and I pledge to be the hard working, full time Constable that District D deserves.

Thank you.

Well folks, the election is here. Early voting started today and runs through May 30th. The actual Election Day is May 5th.

My wife posted this video for those that don’t know me personally. Try as I may it was impossible to visit every voter so this short reel is my way of introduction.

I am now humbly asking for your assistance. Think of everyone that you might know in District D (Millsfield, Bogota, Lakewood, Westwind, Heathridge, Miston, Nauvoo, Church Grove, Glendale, Willisville, Lane and all points in between.) Please take a moment to reach out to them and suggest that they consider voting for me. Find one of the posts on this page that you like and share it. Every vote is going to count in this primary and working together we can put a hard working Constable in office.

Thanks for your vote and your support. Let’s go out there and win this election!!

Thanks,
Lenny
