First day with 6th graders ✅ It was SO MUCH FUN! We hope our students got what they needed out of today!

Here is a little peak into what we did today:

1) Schedule pickup (with bubbles & music of course)
2) Assembly & relay - blue team won!
3) Rotations (to meet some important people & learn the spaces: gym, cafeteria, main office, counseling office, library, and locker practice)
4) Schedule run through + lunch
5) Popsicles from the principal & plenty of staff to help us make sure we knew our bus numbers and how we were getting home.

Our 7th & 8th grade friends join us tomorrow and we are ready!

Today, we had the joy of bringing our classified and licensed staff together to welcome everyone back and kick off a new school year! 🎉

The thoughtful engagement and meaningful work our staff took on this morning was inspiring, and we are so excited for all that’s to come! 💙

A HUGE thank you to our amazing MVMS Newberg Parent Group for treating our staff to a delicious breakfast! 🥞☕️

Looking for a fun, engaging way to keep your middle schooler learning and growing this summer?

⭐️FREE Summer Learning at MVMS⭐️

Open to students entering 6th through 8th grade, this exciting program offers hands-on learning experiences led by our dedicated MVMS staff. Students will explore a variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, science, art, PE, and STEAM, all in a supportive and engaging environment.

💙Program Dates: August 3–20, 2026💙

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Students will benefit most by attending all days and sessions throughout this three-week program.
