Thank you to everyone who helped make Kids' Day a success!

A special thank you to the Newaygo Police Department for serving on the planning committee and helping with everything from setup to cleanup. An extra shout out to Chief Andres' family for going above and beyond to set up.

Thanks to funding from the Ge**er Foundation Grant and the MCOLES Police Social Worker Grant, families enjoyed two water safety presentations and more than 200 life jackets were distributed to those in need.

Thank you to Leppinks Food Centers for donating bags, the Newaygo Public Schools cafeteria team and Meet Up & Eat Up program for preparing 500 lunches and breakfasts, our vendors for hosting fun activities, and all the fire, police, DNR, tow truck, and first responder agencies who brought vehicles for kids to explore.

A special thank you to Tractor Supply Co. for donating 2 of the 6 kayaks that were raffled off during the event. Congratulations to Onyx, Primrose, and Jawsyn, who each won a pair of kayaks to enjoy this summer!

Most importantly, thank you to the families who joined us for a fantastic day of fun and learning!

Newaygo County Kids’ Day 2026 is tomorrow!

Join us Saturday, June 6, from 12 PM to 3 PM at Brooks Park in Downtown Newaygo for a free afternoon of family fun for Newaygo County families.

Meet local law enforcement and first responders, enjoy a free lunch, visit community booths, play games, tour fire trucks and emergency vehicles, jump in the bounce house, and enter to win kayaks.

There will be activities, prizes, and fun for all ages.

Monitoring the bounce house during the event

Updated list of all the fun we're going to have can be found on our website.
Helpful tips:
*Bring a change of clothes and/or towel if your child may use the foam party.
*Dress in layers, apply sunscreen
*Help keep the sidewalks clear - lines can be wrapped behind booths
*Remind your kids to stay with you and let them know if they can't find you to find an adult in a uniform.
*Be patient & have so much Fun!!

• Bounce house monitoring
• Event setup
• Event tear down
