Working Commercial Fire-79 Vine St.

NFD units along with mutual aid assistance from Heath FD, Granville Twp, Madison Twp, MaryAnn Twp, and NPD. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were visible. Crews worked quickly and aggressively to initiate fire attack and ensure no occupants were inside the structure. No firefighters were injured; incident currently remains under investigation. AAC B. 12MAR2026 (17:21:22 hrs.): NFD 3 Unit crews along with mutual-aid units responded to a working fire in a multi-family residence, located at 382/384 Mt. Vernon Rd. Crews immediately initiated search/rescue and suppression efforts. The fire was contained shortly after making initial entry and all occupants were found to have self-extricated from inside the structure.

Investigators have determined the origin to be on the rear porch of the primary unit, and as a result of an unintentional human act, a discarded cigarette. 6 Adults and 2 animals were assisted by Red Cross.

Crews arrived to find fire conditions visible. Crews immediately initiated search and rescue efforts along with suppression efforts. One female victim was removed and transported to the local hospital. The origin and cause remain under investigation.

3 Unit 1847 hrs. NFD crews along with multiple mutual aid units responded to a working commercial fire in the storage facilities located at 334 Wilson St. Aggressive deployment tactics limited the fire spread and prevented further damage. No injuries were reported. Fire cause remains under investigation.

0652 hrs: NFD units along with mutual aid crews responded to 254 Fleek Ave. on a working residential fire. Upon arrival, crews initiated search and rescue along with an aggressive interior fire attack and well coordinated ventilation. No injuries reported. There were no working smoke detectors found inside the residence. Fire cause remains under investigation.

0823 hrs: NFD units along with various mutual aid companies on scene of a working commercial structure fire at 1377 N. 21st. St. Crews were able to safely remove all occupants, including animals. No injuries to report, origin and cause remain under investigation.
