Good Morning.

There is a planned water shutdown for Wednesday, 9/16/26, to make upgrades to the water main. This shutdown is expected to last from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Water will be off to:

Hoover Street from Woods Avenue to Central Avenue
Eddy Street from Hoover Street to W. Shields Street
N. 10th Street from Granville Street to Hoover Street

Monday, September 14th, there is a planned water shutdown. The shutdown is expected to last from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Water will be off to:
Rugg Avenue from Mt. Vernon Road to Mikes Lane
Quentin Road S. from Mt. Vernon Road to Quentin Road N.
Woods Avenue from Rugg Avenue to Jefferson Road
Ruggland Terrace
N. 12th Street from Rugg Avenue to Jefferson Road

Upgrades are being made to the water lines in this area. Sign boards have been placed in this area to advise residents of the shutdown.

Good Afternoon.

The City of Newark Water Department will be upgrading water mains in the Central Avenue area on Wednesday, August 26th. Properties on Woods Avenue, N. 10th Street, Eddy Street and Central Avenue from Hoover to W. Shields Street, as well as, Hoover Street, Selby Street and W. Shields Street from Woods Avenue to Central Avenue may experience fluctuations in water pressure and disruptions to their water service. The work will take place between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
