Companies, including OxyChem and its predecessors, contaminated the river with dangerous dioxin pollution tied to Agent Orange production at the Diamond Alkali site in Newark. Today, the Passaic River remains one of the most toxic Superfund sites in the country.
📢We invite you to stand with us at an upcoming rally on June 6 at 10 AM to call for the long-overdue cleanup of the Passaic River! 🏞
We refuse to let them off the hook! Polluters must pay.

For more than 40 years, communities along the Passaic River—especially in Newark—have lived with the impacts of one of the most toxic Superfund sites in the country. Corporations profited from dumping hazardous chemicals, including dioxin linked to Agent Orange, into the river, contaminating 17 miles of water and surrounding ecosystems.
