The mission of the Young Leaders of Licking County is to foster the next generation of leaders in Licking County, offering opportunities for networking, mentorship, education, philanthropy and leadership development. Hi Young Leaders! We have a last-minute volunteer opportunity for anyone available to help at the St. Vincent de Paul Fall Fling this Thursday!

They are looking for at least four volunteer bartenders to help throughout the evening. No bartending experience is needed! This is a great opportunity to volunteer, meet new people, and network while supporting a local event.

Tanner is a proud graduate of Ohio University, earning a degree in Business Finance in 2020. He is a dedicated member of the Licking County Chamber of Commerce’s Young Leaders of Licking County and actively participates in their Events Committee. Residing in Newark, Tanner gained valuable experience in the banking industry from 2020 to 2023 then transitioned to serve as a financial analyst for the City of Newark for nearly two years.

Open positions include:

⭐ President Elect

Board members help shape YLLC by serving on committees, participating in events, welcoming new members and supporting our mission throughout Licking County.

Current YLLC members are eligible to be nominated, and self-nominations are encouraged!

Nominate a Licking County Changemaker!

Are you, or do you know, a Licking County Changemaker?

Youth Philanthropy of Licking County (YPLC) is now accepting nominations for the inaugural Changemaker Award!

In 2018, the Licking County Foundation established the Changemaker Award to recognize and celebrate young leaders ages 15–35 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and impact in improving the quality of life in Licking County, Ohio through community service, civic engagement, philanthropy, or public leadership.

NOMINEES MUST:

Be between 15 and 35 years of age at the time of nomination.
Live in Licking County or have completed significant community service benefiting Licking County.
Demonstrate volunteer service that supports the nonprofit or public sector.
Be nominated by themselves or by another individual.

Close out summer with the Young Leaders of Licking County at The Yard at Newark Station! Join us Friday, September 11 for a laid-back evening of volleyball, drinks, friendly competition, and plenty of time to connect with fellow young professionals.

6:00 PM - Mixer begins
6:30 PM - Volleyball registration begins with games to follow

Want to play? Grab some friends and jump into our buy-in volleyball tournament! Registration is $10 per pair, with teams of four competing. 50% of all tournament buy-ins will benefit Young Leaders of Licking County.

Not interested in playing? No problem! Come hang out, cheer on the teams, and enjoy a casual Friday evening at The Yard. This is a family-friendly event, and kids are welcome, so bring the whole family!

This event is open to everyone! Bring your friends, coworkers, family, or your favorite volleyball partner and join us for a fun evening.

Come celebrate YLLC, meet some new people, and help us send summer out on a high note!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The American Red Cross is currently looking for volunteers to help staff shelters in Perry and Franklin Counties.

Shelter locations include:

Perry County
5445 OH-37, New Lexington, OH 43764

Franklin County
3901 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH 43207

Volunteers are needed every day, with shifts available from 7 AM–7 PM and 7 PM–7 AM. A limited number of 4-hour shifts are also available.

If you have some time to give, please consider volunteering. Even though these shelters are outside of Licking County, this is a great opportunity to support our neighbors when they need it most.

Licking County needs blood donors. Can you help? The American Red Cross is currently down to just a two-day blood supply locally, and every donation can make a life-saving difference.

As a thank-you, anyone who donates at the Newark Red Cross Blood & Platelet Donation Center during July will receive a FREE Kings Island ticket (while supplies last). The flyer includes the Newark center's address, hours, and appointment information.
