Deep gratitude to Laura Matos, Dr. Patricia Campos Medina, and the entire Latina Civic Political Action Committee family for honoring me as a Latina Rising Star. I am thankful to stand in sisterhood with the mujeres who lift as they climb. As Latinas, our rising is never just about ourselves. It belongs to our families, our communities, and every young girl who deserves to see her future reflected in our leadership.

Now that I’ve finally had a moment to breathe, I’ve been reflecting on this fall and feeling deeply grateful. I had the chance to sit in community with Latina powerhouses I admire and respect, and those moments have remained with me.

Thank you LUPE Fund, Inc. for inviting me to be part of the Power of Latinas Conference, and Latino Victory & Latina Civic Action for including me in your Latina leadership training panel. Both spaces were powerful reminders of the strength, brilliance, and leadership within our comunidad ✨🌙✨

📚✨ I had the absolute pleasure of serving as Principal for a Day at Sussex Avenue School—and what an inspiring experience it was! My deepest thanks to Principal Johnson for the heartfelt invitation and her stellar leadership. The culture of excellence, care, and joy she’s fostered was felt in every classroom and hallway!

Grateful to the entire school community—Vice Principals, teachers, staff, and most importantly, the students—for making the day so special ✨ Thankful for opportunities like this that strengthen the bond between our schools and the community—and remind us why investing in public education is so important. ♥️

Proud to celebrate the opening of Branch Brook School — the 1st school in the district dedicated to serving students with autism — and doing it during Autism Awareness Month made it even more special 💙🧩

Every child is like a puzzle piece — unique, irreplaceable, and essential to the bigger picture. Branch Brook is a place where our scholars with autism are seen, supported, and set up to thrive. It’s also a huge win for our families who’ve been advocating for more services worthy of their extraordinary children.

I believe in providing all of our kids with a high-quality education and an environment that respects and honors their unique abilities — and this school is proof of that 🎉🎉🎉

Grappling with the unimaginable tragedy that occurred in our beloved city last night. My deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of Newark Police Officer Joseph Azcona, and to the entire Newark NJ Department of Public Safety. I hope and pray that the surviving officer makes a full and speedy recovery and that this senseless gun violence ends 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
