Check out this patron story from Juwonda!

"My journey with the library started when my oldest son was just a toddler. He had an insatiable appetite for reading. As a single Mom, I would never have been able to keep him in books without the library. By the time he started 1st grade he was already ready at a 5th grade level. By 5th grade he was reading at a pre-college level. Not to mention the other activities the library has always offered.

After I was hurt at work and disabled with chronic pain, the library was my only saving grace. Reading gave me something else to focus on besides the constant pain. Which in turn made living more manageable. It truly saved my life. It worked better than any of the pain medications and I didn't have to worry about my liver.

Now, I've had the profound privilege of introducing my beautiful grandsons to the library and getting them their first library cards. The joy I receive when my grandsons ask me if we can go to the library when they visit me fills me to overflowing.

I'm forever grateful to my library. I hate to even imagine the void in not only my life if the library wasn't available. Then, there are the fantastic librarians! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
