Madsion Fire Medic 101, UTV 101, Rescue 101, Medic 102, Chief 100 to somewhere east of Staddens Bridge Rd and south of SR 16 on difficulty breathing.

This response was substantially quicker than the last time since we have an idea where we are going now.

The patient was flown to Grant.

This time last night, Madison Township Fire Department and Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. trained together on first and second due fireground operations at an acquired structure we plan to burn later this year. The training went great.

Chief Garver and Asst. Chief Decker from Madison FD ran the training which was to simulate a response to a working house fire. Some of the goals included giving senior firefighters an opportunity to assume the role of a fire officer and provide a scene size up on the radio, choose their vehicle positioning and plan of attack, and aim to get a hoseline deployed to the front door and charged within 90 seconds of arrival.

A total of four complete evolutions were had, two with Madison taking the first arriving position, and two with Hanover taking the first due position. In each case the second arriving engine would supply the first with water and manpower. One of the evolutions we included a trapped victim that needed to be rescued. We made use of smoke bombs to completely smoke the house up, and the seat of the fire was rotated throughout the building on each revolution.

After the training, we returned to Madison FD where we shared donated pizzas and Gatorade after ensuring both engines were properly reloaded with hose.

We plan to continue joint trainings, particularly while we have use of this acquired structure. This is one of many joint trainings held in the past couple of weeks that included rural hitch operations at Legacy Park in Hanover and School Bus extrication with a bus donated by the school district.

While I don't believe anyone got a firm headcount, we had roughly 20 in total which included a few Junior Firefighters.

This is I-70 @ SR 79 in Buckeye Lake/Hebron area. We are anticipating the Licking River to continue to rise causing more flooding in our area and some area evacuations in neighboring areas this evening, tonight, and into tomorrow morning.

PSA:
Do not drive through high water! This is also no time to go Kayaking or Tubing on the river. We did observe people at Staddens Bridge Landing today with a Kayak.

[3:45PM] We're already starting to see issues along I-70 near Buckeye Lake. This is Exit 129 west of State Route 79. The water is forecast to continue rising overnight, impacting I-70. If you're traveling, make sure you have an alternate route and remember, TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN if you encounter flooded roadways.

UTV 101, Medic 101, SAR 101, Boat 101/102, Grass 101 to multiple locations in the Licking View area in Heath and Newark. Staging area is Goodwill on Hopewell Drive for all incident locations.

At this time we have patrolled the entire township and there is only minor flooding in the usual areas which are marked with signage.
