We’re celebrating some very special CASA-versaries!

Our CASA advocates are known for going the extra mile for the children they serve but in this case, we’re celebrating the years they’ve gone above and beyond.

Year after year, they continue to show up, speak up, and stand beside children in foster care through changes, challenges, milestones, and everything in between. That kind of consistency matters and it deserves to be celebrated.

To our advocates marking another year with CASA Essex: thank you for every visit, every court report, every conversation, every mile traveled, and every year you’ve chosen to stay.

Summer may be winding down, but something new could be just beginning.

At CASA Essex, we’re gearing up for our fall volunteer training classes.

If becoming a CASA advocate has been something you’ve thought about, this fall could be the time to take that first step. You don’t need to know everything about foster care. You just need to be willing to learn, show up, and become a consistent voice for a child who needs one.

Start with an Information Session. Come learn who we are, what CASA advocates do, and whether this opportunity is right for you.

Backpacks packed. Supplies ready. A new school year begins!

Our CASA volunteers picked up backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and other essentials to make sure the children they serve are ready to walk into the new school year feeling prepared and confident.

And as those school doors open, a special shout-out to all the teachers standing in classroom doorways, welcoming students in and getting ready for another year of learning, growing, discovering, and becoming. We see you—and we appreciate all that you do.

Here’s to a great school year for our kids, their advocates, their teachers, and everyone helping them succeed.

Pajama-Rama! A good school year starts with a good night's sleep.

Some partnerships stand the test of time.

Tovah (formerly NCJW Essex) helped establish CASA Essex four decades ago — and they haven't stopped showing up since. This back-to-school season, they're at it again, donating supplies to help children in foster care start the year ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

From founding us to fueling us, has been part of the CASA Essex story from the very beginning. Thank you for four decades of standing with our kids!

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to confront the disparities that too often go unspoken.

At CASA Essex, we see how deeply mental health and wellbeing shape the lives of the children we serve and why culturally responsive support matters.

Every child deserves a champion who sees their whole story, including their mental health.
Awareness is where it starts. Compassion is what carries it forward.
