If you are selling tickets in Times Square, be careful, they are now starting to enforce designated activity zones..

Also, make sure you renew your ticket selling license

Rally 4/4...1 pm

A Rally is taking Place on Monday 4/4 with gathering starting at 12:30 and rally beginning at 1 pm to protest legislation that will severely impinge on the rights of the Costumed Characters , painted Ladies, bus ticket sellers and Comedy Ticket Sellers, to be able to operate in the newly constructed Pedestrain Plazas in Times Square...While like any profession there are some bad characters out there, the overwhelming majority of these people are hard working people just trying to earn a living for themselves and their families...Please support their right to do this...This new law is going to severely limit those rights...The rally will take place at TKTS booth and extend to 46th and Broadway...

90 % of the Costumed Characters, Painted ladies, Tour Guide Bus Sellers and Comedy Ticket sellers are Black and Hispanic...The Times Square Alliance is trying to convince the City Council to rid Times Square of the same people that make it a unique , quirky experience....DO YOU THINK THE TIMES SQUARE ALLIANCE WOULD LOOK TO RID THESE PEOPLE IF THEY WERE BLOND HAIRED BLUE EYED PEOPLE FROM THE MIDWEST ? ...Would they still be considered a threat ? ...Are there some rogue characters out there ? Yes...But let's not throw out the baby with the bath water....Most of these are hard working people that want to support their families....
