LDNscience® is a public information project of the MedInsight® Research Institute. based non-profit organization established in 2006, that serves as a platform for researching and indexing available off-label (repurposed) treatments

for cancer and chronic diseases. MedInsight employs a graph-oriented database to drive innovation in the field of drug repurposing. Under the leadership of Moshe Rogosnitzky, a scientist and MedInsight's co-founder, LDNscience brings together research and information on Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) and its application in the treatment of chronic and serious diseases. We collaborate with LDN researchers to bring current information about clinical trials and research to patients, the general public and professional community.

🌎 👩‍⚕While many preclinical animal studies exploring LDN’s effects have been conducted, so far, there has been only one published clinical trial using LDN for pets - treating dog mammary/breast cancer. Some LDN-prescribing veterinarians have remarked that LDN has worked “miracles” for animals they thought were beyond help.

🧠 LDN Can Help with Mental Illness
Mental illness includes a wide range of disorders affecting mood, thinking, and behavior. The most common conditions include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addictive behaviors. Everyone deals with mood changes, but when symptoms affect a person’s ability to function normally, some treatment is often necessary.

It has recently been discovered that adding low-dose naltrexone (LDN) to some medications can intensify the relief of symptoms, especially in those people whose condition is related to an endorphin deficiency.

Migraine Awareness Week is an ideal time to highlight new information emerging about using LDN to treat .
A first case report on this topic was published 2 years ago: https://bit.ly/3nddY3Q
LDN was prescribed to a 62-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis. According to the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) Health Centers doctors who prescribed the LDN, she experienced reduced severity, duration, and frequency of her chronic migraine headaches, significantly improving her quality of life.
More recently, two preprints (scientific articles that are yet to be peer-reviewed)recently reported the results of two clinical trials using LDN to treat migraines.
Last but not least, at LDNscience we have collected a number of patient stories and interviews that have mentioned improvements in their migraines after starting LDN, including Cindy Koshak who said: “Taking LDN, I no longer deal with debilitating fatigue, muscle burning, chronic pain, migraines, interstitial cystitis, and painful dry eyes.”
