Hey guys! This will be the last of our five posts throughout the week. Today, we will talk about what we are going to do to stop climate change.

A few years ago, 400 parts per million for Carbon Dioxide was cited as the tipping point for climate change. Since then, we have passed that number by a large amount. While this wasn’t the exact tipping point, it was symbolic of a problem. Despite knowing that this could become irreversible, we still continued our poor practices that plague this planet. We believe that we must make big changes in order to stop climate change.

Firstly, we want to fund research of clean and efficient energy courses and technologies. We believe that this is not only beneficial to the planet, but will save us money in the long term. We also want to work with businesses to reduce emission by increasing regulations and providing incentives to reduce emissions and pollution. We believe that we can get international support from other countries to reduce emissions. We need to set a strong example of moving away fossil fuels for the rest of the world to follow. Together, we can stop climate change.

Hey guys! This will be the fourth of five posts throughout the week, offering insight into our campaign. Today, we will talk about what we are going to do to resolve issues on foreign policies.

We want to lift the current tariffs on China that were put in place by President Trump. Currently, we are in a trade war, imposing a $250 billion in tariffs on Chinese products, while they have a $110 billion tariff on american products. China is the world’s biggest exporter ($1.99 trillion) while the U.S. is the world’s biggest importer ($2.41 trillion) and China plans to be the leading high end manufacturer globally by 2025. Our plan is to end this senseless trade war. This trade war is costing the U.S and China lots of money, so ending it would be the best option.

Kim Jong Un signed his name onto three declarations this year pledging “denuclearization”: two with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and one with U.S. President Donald Trump. Despite this, there is no certainty that he will give up the nuclear weaponry. The United States have been trying to contain North Korea to no avail he past has shown that diplomatic and military projection of American power, international sanctions and condemnation has led to no progress in terms of discouraging Kim Jung Un, as shown by the continuing development of nuclear weapons. We don’t want to incite a war with North Korea, however we believe that action needs to be taken. We want to impose sanctions on North Korea and if that doesn’t work, a naval blockade.

A blockade is meant to slowly choke out the uncooperative nation. Unlike a sanction, a blockade provides the capability to monitor, intercept and enforce restrictions on what can go in and out of the target nation while providing a powerful psychological and diplomatic instrument. A naval blockade in the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea would prevent North Korea from obtaining essential raw materials including refined petroleum and military spares.Naval blockades have seen a lot of success in the past. The 1962 US blockade of Cuba effectively ended Soviet attempts to establish missile bases on the Caribbean island. Seeing how Kim Jung Un has no intention of stopping his fascination with nuclear weaponry, the United States must take action to keep itself and its citizens safe.

Hey guys! This will be our third post of give posts throughout the week, offering insight into our campaign. Today, we will talk about poverty, and what we are going to do to fight it.

The federal minimum wage was first introduced during the Great depression in 1938 by President Franklin De Roosevelt. It was initially set at $0.25 per hour and has been increased by congress 22 times since. The current federal minimum wage is set at 7.25$ per hour.

With this, 13% of the people in our country today are living below the poverty line and almost a third of Americans are “near poverty”. Children who grew up in poverty often attend lower education public schools and many drop out to work in low-paying jobs to support their family, creating a cycle of poverty.

We want to provide the resources necessary for people to break away from this cycle by increasing the minimum wage to at least $10 so that people are able to earn enough sustain a standard of living. We will also fund for infrastructure constructions and other projects to create new jobs for the jobless. Our campaign will wage a war against poverty and fight for the happiness and health of all Americans.

Hey guys! This will be the second of five posts throughout the week, offering insight into our campaign. Today, we will talk about why we are in full support of universal health care.

So what is health care? Health care is the maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health through the provision of medical services. Having health care is important because while do you have to pay a monthly fee to maintain coverage, Insurance providers can negotiate with the health care providers for lower prices. In the United States, health care is mostly provided by private insurers. This left many people without coverage because they couldn’t afford it or they were denied for having a preexisting condition
In 2010, The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, was passed. The law prevented insurers to refuse coverage due to preexisting conditions and gave minimum standards for health insurance policies were established. This allowed 11 million more Americans to get coverage.

We want to expand on this this and provide Universal Health Care. Universal Health Care will provide at least basic coverage for all citizens. This doesn’t mean that it will be free, and that all out-of-pocket costs are covered. This is about providing basic health services to everyone. The United States is the only highly developed country to not have universal health care for its citizens, and we think that it’s time to change that. Remember, its okay to be picky, choose Nikki!

Hey guys! This will be the first of five posts throughout the week, offering insight into our campaign. Today we will elaborate on why we are in full support of the legalization of ma*****na.

Ma*****na’s reputation as the “devil’s cabbage” was a product of Nixon’s war on drugs. In the 1970s, the government tried to get rid of ma*****na by enforcing unfair laws to criminalize nonviolent people just because they were carrying any amount of ma*****na, wasting trillions of tax dollars.

Ma*****na in recent times has become destigmatized and for valid reasons. Ma*****na is not a gateway drug as supported by the National Institute of Drug Abuse, as “people who use ma*****na do not go on to use other, harder substances.” Additionally, federal research has shown that ma*****na impaired driving is far less dangerous than drunk driving. ma*****na has been shown to be less dangerous than it actually is.

For these reasons, our campaign seeks the legalization of ma*****na on a federal level. We believe ma*****na will play a crucial role in both improving the American economy and reducing crime rate significantly. Ma*****na will bring new job opportunities and new tax revenue that we will use to fund free health care and alleviate poverty.

Ma*****na is not the enemy; it is a stepping stone in progressing as a country united as one. Our campaign will fight for what is best for Americans, no matter the hardships. It's okay to be picky, choose Nikki!
