The primary mission of the Jamaican Consulate General in New York is to promote and safeguard the interest of Jamaica and Jamaicans in the thirty three (33) States under the jurisdiction of the United States, Puerto Rico and Bermuda. The 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference takes place 14 to 18 June 2026 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre under the theme "Diaspora Partnerships: Re-building a More Resilient Jamaica." It is the premier gathering of Jamaicans at home and abroad, created with the diaspora in mind and built around your ideas, your investment and your partnership in Jamaica's future.

The Ceremonial Opening on Tuesday, 16 June will feature a keynote address by the Prime Minister, Dr. the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, ON, PC, MP, setting the national vision for the days ahead. Across four days, delegates will explore trade and investment, education, healthcare, agriculture and food security, national security, the creative economy and Jamaica's AI and digital future, alongside the Governor-General's Diaspora Achievement Awards, Jamaica Night Street Vibes: Musical Tribute to the Greats, a Day of Empowerment and a closing Day of Service.

The Consulate General of Jamaica, New York announces the opening of a Condolence Book in honour and lasting memory of the late Mr. Leslie Roy Campbell, former Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, whose distinguished service to Jamaica and Diaspora will be long remembered.

Members of the Jamaican Diaspora, colleagues, friends, and well‑wishers are invited to sign the Condolence Book at the Consulate General of Jamaica, New York, 300 East 42nd Street, Floor 4, New York, NY 10017 on:

Officer in Charge Ariel Bowen joined the congregation at Beulah Church of God 7th Day (986 Gun Hill Road, Bronx) on Saturday, May 9, in celebration of Mother’s Day. The service was a heartfelt tribute to mothers and the vital role they play within families and the wider community.

Attending at the church’s kind invitation, OIC Bowen was pleased to be among Diaspora community leaders who were also present as special guests. She brought official greetings and used the opportunity to share highlights and encourage participation in the upcoming Diaspora Conference, underscoring the importance of continued engagement and unity within the Jamaican Diaspora.
