California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond is urging the West Contra Costa Unified School District and the United Teachers of Richmond to return to the bargaining table immediately in order to resolve an ongoing strike. Thurmond is offering to convene the two parties as soon as the morning of Monday, December 8.
