We send Lonnie Bunch our deepest gratitude and praise for his historic, groundbreaking work at the Smithsonian.

We also double down on the urgent need to protect Black history in the face of dangerous efforts by the Administration to erase and distort our history.

We’re answering the call by opening our Urban Civil Rights Museum in this fall, which will be New York’s first civil rights museum and present the history of the northern civil rights movement.

Let’s keep the pressure on. ✊🏾
