This past week during Service Level Training Exercise (SLTE) 4-26 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, French Marines with the 21st Marine Infantry Regiment, 6th Light Armoured Brigade, worked alongside the 2nd Marine Division to test unmanned ground vehicles.

Operating outside a traditional joint-working center, French marines worked directly alongside Marines with 2nd Marine Division to test the use of unmanned ground vehicles for resupply or casualty evacuation in a simulated MOUT assault. This collaboration showcased the capabilities of a revolutionary autonomous, uncrewed ground vehicle built to operate beyond line of sight on the battlefield.

Together, our forces are actively proving and adapting autonomous tactics for contested environments, showing how allied forces are evolving to meet future threats.

Eyes to the Sky 👀🌤️

U.S. Marine Corps with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment participate in a counter small-unmanned aircraft systems urban training at Range 200 as part of Service Level Training Exercise 4-26.

With the debut of C-sUAS lanes at the Combat Center, Marines recognize and respond to unmanned aerial threats by employing emerging tactics, techniques, procedures, and maintaining a C-sUAS mindset in every operation, all while preserving the fundamentals that make rifle squads survivable and lethal.

First to Flight! 🛫

2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, embarks on the U.S. Marine Corps’ pioneer test of the JUMP 20-X equipped with the Switchblade 300 Block 20 at the conventional level during Service Level Training Exercise 4-26.

JUMP 20-X is a Group 3 unmanned aircraft system possessing capabilities of 12 hours in-air flight time, electro-optical infrared camera payloads, a 115-mile operational range, and up to 30-pounds of payload capacity—leading to one of Jump 20-X’s biggest assets: the Switchblade 300 Block 20, a loitering munition released from the undercarriage of the JUMP 20-X.

This past month U.S. Marines and Sailors with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Sail 250 participated in multiple events throughout Norfolk, Baltimore, New York, and Boston as part of SAIL250.

SAIL250 celebrates America’s maritime heritage and the nation’s 250th anniversary by bringing together U.S. and international ships, Marines, Sailors, and community partners throughout various cities.

This past weekend, U.S. Marines and Sailors participated in Independence Day celebrations during International Naval Review 250 in New York City.
