As we near the end of May, we’re reflecting on the extraordinary event we held earlier this month, honoring Mobility Makers, individuals and organizations boldly and creatively advancing transportation justice for our communities.

We are proud to celebrate Jamie Torres-Springer, Sangeeta Badlani, , , Mike Flynn, and Nivardo Lopez for embodying visionary leadership, relentless advocacy, and innovative thinking toward a more connected and equitable transportation future, helping to improve critical infrastructure, reimagine our streets, and strengthen communities in the tri-state region.

At our annual Art of Mobility event, we celebrated the intersection of art, advocacy, innovation, and transportation justice across the region, and those creating safer streets for us all.✨

Special thanks to the artists, advocates, sponsors, government partners, and supporters who made this energizing evening possible and who continue powering the movement for a more equitable future.

The cost of deliveries should not be our health. 😮‍💨

New York's rapid growth in mega-warehouses has brought a surge in diesel truck traffic and devastating health impacts. Communities across the state, located near ports, distribution hubs, and major freight routes, are experiencing higher risks of asthma, cardiovascular disease, and other respiratory issues linked to diesel exhaust.

We're currently running digital ads seen below, urging New York State Governor Kathy Hochul and the legislature to address diesel pollution from massive warehouses.

Warehouse truck pollution is a huge problem and will only grow without action:
• Disadvantaged communities are 8.1% of the state, but host 50% of warehouses
• 5 million New Yorkers live within half a mile of a warehouse
• 330,000 young children and 680,000 older adults live in high-exposure zones
• Diesel-related NO₂ pollution contributes to an estimated 13,500 new pediatric asthma cases each year

New York needs bold action, NOW. ➡️ bit.ly/cleantruckdelivery

New York City’s rapid growth in mega-warehouses has brought a surge in diesel truck traffic and devastating health impacts. Communities like Hunts Point, located near ports, distribution hubs, and major freight routes, are experiencing higher risks of asthma, cardiovascular disease, and other respiratory issues linked to diesel exhaust.

Electrify NY’s new billboard campaign spotlights New Yorkers living at the center of the freight network, showing the human cost of an industry that operates around the clock, often just steps from homes, schools, and senior housing.
