LONG-SOUGHT MOST WANTED PERSON ARRESTED IN BUKIDNON R**E CASE INVOLVING MINOR

Police authorities in Bukidnon arrested the No. 5 Regional Most Wanted Person on September 5, 2026, in connection with multiple r**e charges involving his 15-year-old daughter, following the implementation of a court-issued warrant.

The suspect, known by the alias “Rhen,” 40, a farmer and resident of Bukidnon, was arrested in Damulog, Bukidnon, by personnel of the Kibawe Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office and Regional Headquarters units.

The warrant, issued by the court on August 26, 2026, covers one count of Qualified R**e of a Minor and four counts of R**e by Sexual Assault. One case carries a recommended bail of PHP200,000.00, while the four other cases have no recommended bail.

Police records indicate that the alleged abuse began when the victim was six years old and was later brought to the attention of her relatives, resulting in the filing of the cases and the subsequent issuance of the warrant.

UNIFIED 911 ALERT LEADS POLICE TO FOIL TARLAC PAWNSHOP ROBBERY; 8 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

A timely distress alert through the Unified 911 emergency response system helped police prevent an alleged robbery at a pawnshop in Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, leading to the arrest of eight suspects on September 4, 2026.

Police responded after the establishment’s alarm was activated at around 10:30 a.m. and the incident was reported through 911. Responding personnel immediately checked the area and found signs of forced entry, with initial investigation indicating that the suspects had allegedly used a nearby drainage system to gain access to the establishment.

A follow-up operation resulted in the arrest of five suspects who were reportedly attempting to leave through the same route. Police later located and arrested three other alleged companions aboard an Isuzu Elf truck in a nearby barangay.

“AKYAT-BAHAY” SYNDICATE BUSTED IN QC; 5 ARRESTED, ₱200K BIKES RECOVERED

Police authorities in Quezon City arrested five suspects believed to be involved in an “Akyat-Bahay” theft operation, recovering three stolen bicycles with an estimated value of ₱200,000.00 in a follow-up operation on September 4, 2026.

The case began with a reported break-in at a storage area in Barangay Bahay Toro, where three bicycles were taken. The victim later found the stolen items being offered for sale online and immediately brought the information to the attention of authorities.

Police personnel acted on the report and conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of the five suspects along Seminary Road in Quezon City. The three stolen bicycles were recovered during the operation.

24-YEAR-OLD INDIAN NATIONAL RESCUED IN LAS PIÑAS, FIVE ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police (PNP) rescued a 24-year-old Indian national and arrested five Indian nationals in a police operation in Las Piñas City on September 5, 2026.

The victim, a 24-year-old male medical student, was safely recovered along the Alabang-Zapote Road, Brgy Pamplona Tres, Las Piñas City. Five suspects, all Indian nationals aged 24 to 26, were also taken into police custody during the operation.

81 FI****MS SURRENDERED IN ONE-DAY PNP OPERATIONS IN WESTERN VISAYAS

The Philippine National Police continues to strengthen its efforts to address loose fi****ms and prevent their possible use in criminal activities, as police units in Western Visayas recorded the surrender of 81 fi****ms in 91 operations conducted on September 5, 2026, along with the recovery of 10 explosive items and the arrest of two individuals.

REGION 12’S NO. 1 MOST WANTED PERSON ARRESTED OVER SYNDICATED ESTAFA CASE

A court-issued warrant led police authorities to the arrest of the No. 1 Most Wanted Person at the regional level in General Santos City, marking another successful effort to locate individuals facing pending criminal cases.

The suspect was arrested on September 4, 2026, along Nuñez Street, Barangay San Isidro, General Santos City, during a warrant-service operation conducted by personnel of Police Station 4 of the General Santos City Police Office, with support from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Sarangani Provincial Field Unit and the 1201st Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12.

The suspect is facing a charge of syndicated estafa under Article 315, Paragraph 2(A) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Presidential Decree No. 1689. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court in General Santos City, with no bail recommended.

OZAMIZ ROBBERY CRACKED IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS; SUSPECTS TIED TO OTHER ROBBERY CASES

Police in Northern Mindanao swiftly moved to identify and locate two suspects allegedly behind a robbery in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental, resulting in the arrest of one suspect within 24 hours and establishing the pair’s possible links to other robbery incidents in the region.

The robbery occurred at around 11:15 p.m. on September 1, 2026, when two suspects allegedly entered a commercial establishment through an opening at the rear portion of the building and forcibly opened a vault containing approximately ₱60,000.00 in cash.

Through crime scene processing and examination of available CCTV footage, investigators identified the suspects as alias “Joe” and alias “Boy,” both residents of Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur. “Joe” was also found to have an existing warrant of arrest for Robbery in Zamboanga del Sur.

Further investigation established that the two are being linked to other robbery incidents under investigation, including the robbery of a similar commercial establishment in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, in February 2026, and another incident in Tudela, Misamis Occidental, in April 2026. Authorities are continuing to validate the information and gather evidence for the appropriate cases.

Police subsequently located “Joe” at his residence and arrested him. During the follow-up operation in the area where “Boy” was reportedly staying, the suspect allegedly fired at police officers, prompting them to respond. He sustained gunshot wounds and was declared dead.

₱3.2M WORTH OF SUSPECTED SMUGGLED GOODS SEIZED IN SOUTHERN LEYTE, SULU

The Philippine National Police (PNP) seized more than ₱3.2 million worth of suspected smuggled petroleum products and ci******es in separate anti-smuggling operations in Southern Leyte and Sulu on September 3, 2026, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of 21 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es.

In Sogod, Southern Leyte, personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Southern Leyte Provincial Field Unit and Sogod Municipal Police Station arrested two individuals, both of legal age and Filipino nationals, during an operation at around 5:30 p.m. The operation resulted in the seizure of 10,000 liters of diesel, 5,000 liters of premium gasoline, and 14,000 liters of unleaded gasoline, with a combined estimated market value of ₱2.18 million.

Meanwhile, in Pangutaran, Sulu, police personnel recovered 21 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱1.029 million during an anti-smuggling operation. The items were found abandoned and were brought to the police station for proper disposition and subsequent turnover to the Bureau of Customs.

BUKIDNON SEES ANOTHER STEP TOWARD PEACE AS INSURGENT SURRENDERS

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recorded another voluntary surrender in Bukidnon on September 3, 2026, as an insurgent chose to abandon the armed struggle and return to the folds of the law.

The latest development comes just days after the PNP featured the August 26, 2026 surrender of another insurgent in San Fernando, Bukidnon. In that earlier case, alias “Math/Saudi,” a Periodic Status Report-listed member of the dismantled Guerrilla Front 89, surrendered and turned over an improvised 5.56mm revolver loaded with four rounds of am******on.

In the latest surrender, alias “Tonton,” a 38-year-old married male and member of the Milisyang Bayan of Guerrilla Front 68, Sub-Regional Committee 4, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee, voluntarily yielded to government authorities at the 1004th Maneuver Company (MC), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10) Headquarters in Barangay Tagbak, Talakag, Bukidnon.

He surrendered one improvised sh***un and two rounds of 12-gauge am******on. The surrender was facilitated by personnel of the 1004th MC, RMFB 10, together with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Team.

Alias “Tonton” is now under the custody of the 1004th MC for custodial debriefing and individual profiling, while the surrendered fi***rm and am******on remain secured by the same unit for proper documentation and disposition.

The latest surrender underscores the sustained efforts of government authorities in Bukidnon to encourage members of armed groups to abandon violence and embrace a peaceful and lawful life.
