🚨Promotion Alert🚨 Congratulations to the newly promoted Corporal Valdez !! 💪🏾
The rank of Corporal is the 4th enlisted rank and the 1st of the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) ranks within the Marine Corps directly below Sergeant.
It’s one of the biggest moments within an enlisted Marine’s career as it represents the change from junior enlisted to NCO which comes with much more responsibility and expectations to lead and set the example for junior enlisted to emulate.
It’s tradition to place the NCO “blood stripe” on every newly promoted Corporal.
The blood stripe is worn on the outside trouser leg seams on the dress blue uniform of every Marine above the rank of Lance Corporal.
Corporal Valdez enlisted from RSS West Bronx and earned the title of Marine in 2020.
Cpl Valdez is now stationed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷 serving in one of the most prestigious duties in the world, Marine Security Guard (MSG).
MSG’s are Marines that work along side the and are tasked to protect mission personnel, national security information, equipment and property at over 170 Embassies & Consulates around the world.
