New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women, Inc. The New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women, Inc. (NYCOBW) was organized to act as an advocate for Black Women.

Founded in 1970, the New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women, Inc. is a membership organization that acts as a leadership voice for women, with a particular focus on Black Women. Our programs and activities are designed to expose, develop, and inspire women with confidence, so that they can become more proactive on matters that concern their quality of living. The Coalition provides vehicles

for mutual support and information sharing, and we explore issues and develop solutions that impact public policy. Through our general membership meetings and active involvement in social and political issues that affect our communities, the Coalition acts as an advocate for the black community by providing a forum to explore issues of concern. Fostered by the diversity of its members and resources, the Coalition encourages individual development, growth and networking opportunities.

You are invited to a FREE regional preparedness day TRAINING to help you become better prepared to survive disasters and emergencies that may impact your community. In partnership with the National Coast Guard, YM and YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood, and the North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., this important event will be offered on Sunday, 3/29/2026, from 2PM to 4PM. You must register in advance, and you can bring at least one person with you who is at least 18 years old (make sure they are registered too). Be sure you also share this important information with your family, friends, and neighbors.
