r, Fr. David Kirk, stressed the model of “the poor serving the poor”. We seek to offer hospitality in a way that expresses what Fr. David called “personalism”, honoring each person as bearing the image of God. Our Work
For most of the time since our founding in 1965, we have offered housing to the homeless, food, educational services, and mutual support. At this time, we are unable to offer any housing. When volunteers are present in the House, we welcome people who come to the door and we offer clothing and household items, emergency food, and hospitality. We have had the privilege of helping individuals in small, but meaningful and personal, ways. We distribute food, received from City Harvest, on Wednesdays from 9:00am until 12noon; we are actively seeking other food sources. We welcome people to join us for prayer on Mondays (5:30pm Vespers), Tuesdays (8:00am Matins and 5:30pm Vespers), and Wednesdays (8:00am Matins).
