➡️ The event reflected on the timeless teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir and the universal values of Ahimsa, peace, compassion and self-discipline.

➡️ Honoured by the gracious presence of Congresswoman Grace Meng and NYC Comptroller Mark Levine, who addressed the gathering and acknowledged the contributions of the Indian-American community. The evening brought together accomplished musicians and music enthusiasts, showcasing how music transcends borders, cultures, and languages.

Consulate General of India in New York hosted an engaging fireside chat on ‘India’s Startup Ecosystem, Hospitality and Tourism Opportunities’ with Mr. Ritesh Agarwal , Founder of PRISM and moderated by Mr. Nitin Thakur , Group President – Strategic Initiatives, PRISM.

Consul General Binaya S. Pradhan underscored India’s, tremendous untapped potential as a global tourism destination and highlighted the country’s growing appeal across diverse tourism segments.

Mr. Agarwal shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey and discussed the evolution of India’s hospitality sector. He highlighted opportunities across medical, wellness, religious, cultural, and experiential tourism, emphasizing that India’s rich heritage, infrastructure development, and expanding middle class position it as one of the world’s most promising tourism destinations. He also spoke about the transformative impact of AI, digital platforms, and data-driven solutions in enhancing customer experiences across the hospitality industry.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, providing participants an opportunity to exchange views on entrepreneurship, role of startups in driving innovation, and opportunities in India’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem.

The Consulate General of India in New York, in association with Wipro, convened an insightful discussion on Global Capability Centres (GCCs).

The focus was also to promote GIFT City & Odisha as attractive destinations for GCCs.

IFSCA Chairperson Mr. K. Rajaraman highlighted advantages of setting up GCCs in the GIFT City.

Mr. Vishal Kumar Dev, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha presented the incentives Odisha is offering to attract GCCs and IT related investment.

The discussion covered key themes including scaling and upskilling of GCCs, the 4C drivers—Cost, Control, Capability and Carbon, the transition from people-centric to technology-driven models, AI-led transformation, and India’s emergence as a global GCC hub with over 2100 centres.

Consul General Binaya S. Pradhan highlighted the growing importance of India as a Trusted Partner and immense potential as a global innovation and talent hub.

The leaders of technology industry associated with GCCs shared valuable insights into India’s evolving GCC landscape and the changes happening in this area.

Consulate General of India, New York hosted a virtual interactive session with National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) scholars from universities across its jurisdiction.

Consul General Binaya S. Pradhan interacted with the students and discussed their academic journey, experiences in the United States, and ways to further strengthen support and engagement with Indian students.

The session opened with welcome remarks by Consul General , followed by educational presentations by Walmart regarding cross-border growth for Indian sellers in the US market. The session was attended by around 340 exporters from India.
