On November 6th, the options on the ballot for voters in IL-03 are either an avowed N**i and Holocaust denier, or a complacent incumbent out of sync with progressive values. That’s not a choice. You deserve better. Your family deserves better. Americans deserve better.

In order to have real change, voters must have a real choice. Therefore, we are proud to endorse write-in candidate Justin Hanson. Justin has the experience, and the heart, needed to restore civility and equality while defeating bigotry and hatred.

On November 6th, VOTE YOUR VALUES. Elect new leaders who will work to denounce bigotry, reject passive representation, and restore statesmanship to American politics. Write in Justin Hanson. Justin Hanson for Congress

As inauguration day approaches, it is now more important than ever to remember that you have the power to make change.

Today is and so we invite you to help raise awareness about the lifesaving potential of immunotherapy.

By wearing white together, we are standing for science and the search for immune-based cures. This year, the campaign will echo the hope immunotherapy can bring cancer patients in the darkness of their diagnosis.

To participate in Wear White Day, wear a white shirt or snap and share a selfie on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. Use the hashtag and share why you stand with science. You can also download a customizable Wear White Day sign to hold up in your selfie here:https://www.cancerresearch.org/CRI/media/Files-for-download/Wear-White-Printable-Sign-2018.pdf

In honor of Giving Tuesday, we'd like to share a great opportunity for you to do all the good you can in just a matter of seconds!

As we're sure you’re aware, the holiday season is quickly approaching, and the BUILD program at Roxbury Youthworks, Inc. needs your help.

BUILD works with cisgender males and transgender youth who are currently/at risk of being commercially sexually exploited and trafficked. To add a little perspective, BUILD currently has two youth who are living at home with their family. The rest of their youth are either living in a placement, a youth shelter, or in tents in wooded areas around the city of Boston. They do have a handful of youth who are working towards independent living, which is huge!

With that being said, BUILD has compiled a holiday wish list in hopes of making the season a little brighter for some of their clients. Some of the items on the list may not be seen as “essentials,” but we’re aiming to personalize their gifts this year. It’s also important to note that BUILD youth need more than just the “essentials,” as it is crucial for building their self-esteem in such a trying time in their young adulthood. Here is the direct link for the wish list:

http://a.co/cW2ssvt

There are also a number of items that can’t be found on Amazon that BUILD is in need of: gift cards to Macy’s, Stop and Shop, CVS, Dunkin’ Donuts, or TJX in any denomination would be much appreciated.

So, if you’re feeling particularly festive and would like donate a gift, please browse BUILD's Amazon wish list and send items/gift cards to:

Roxbury Youthworks, Inc.
ATTN: Megan Caron
841 Parker St. suites 104-106
Roxbury Crossing, MA 02120

If you wouldn’t mind, please leave your name and address in the comments section when you check out on Amazon, as BUILD would like to follow up with all of our donors. Please feel free to share this link as well, and comment below if you've chosen to "do good" today! Happy Holidays!

Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Unfortunately, our population-based cancer registries (e.g., SEER, CDC Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, NAACCR, state and local cancer registries) do not count metastatic recurrences. As a result, there are no accurate statistics on the number of people living with metastatic breast cancer. THIS MUST CHANGE. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

YOU can make a difference by using your voice. Sign the petition below to ask Congress to provide the funds necessary to collect accurate statistics regarding those with metastatic breast cancer.

SEER: Start Counting ALL People Living With Metastatic Breast Cancer!

On a day where trans rights have been revoked yet again, why not take less than a minute to do good for the trans community?

Similar to what happened with our military today, the current administration has also erased transgender elders from the National Survey of Older Americans Act.

This is crucial to the well-being of trans elders, as this survey determines how the Department of Health and Human Services will allocate federal funding to organizations that work with seniors.

Please take a moment to fill in your information to automatically send a letter on behalf of our trans elders, and be sure to share so others can do the same!

Thousands of LGBT elders and their allies forced the Trump administration to reverse course on their discriminatory plans. But if the administration thinks that with this partial victory SAGE will now abandon trans elders, it's in for a big surprise. Join us and send a letter to the Trump administra...
