The JCC Food Pantry is in need of reusable grocery bags (sturdy plastic like Fresh Direct, not cloth/tote like Target) in which to pack and distribute food to the 150+ local households we serve weekly.

Donations can be dropped off at 121 Bennett, 11a, Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm, or 9-1:30 on Fridays (or through our front window!).

Announcing the Dogs of Washington Heights 5787 FTJC Jewish Calendar!

If you haven't seen the 5786 version on your friend's wall, this not-to-be-missed FTJC community calendar includes Jewish holidays, candle-lighting times and other zmanim for Washington Heights, and most importantly, beautiful pictures of some of the cutest dogs in the neighborhood!

Calendars cost $25 each and are now available for pick up *at the JCC office* and limited mail order.

*All profits will be donated to the Jewish Community Council of Washington Heights and Inwood.*

Please note that this is an FTJC community calendar with corresponding Shabbos times and community member birthdays.

Con Edison has reduced voltage by 8 percent in both northwest Bronx and northern Manhattan to protect equipment and maintain service as repairs are made.

The affected area in Manhattan is bounded by West 155th Street on the south and stretches to the Harlem River on the north. It is bounded by the Hudson River on the west and the Harlem River on the east. The area includes 75,200 customers in the Inwood, Hudson Heights and Washington Heights neighborhoods.
