The statistics show that the government of Haiti estimates that 80 percent of children in orphanages have at least one living parent,and are in poverty, lack access to basic services, and the desire to provide and educate our children or parents. Subsequently, with adequate support, many children could return to their families and community based care and families could be strengthened to prevent separation and demonstrate the physical, social and psychological causes in orphanages and produce better outcomes in our children.
