so...this is where we share stories..? that sounds good...'cause this is a city of stories and The Snout longs to stick its...er... snout... into everybody's..uh... business. my home is in a building of six stories, but with eighteen apartments and a coupla fantastic stories in each...so each story has so many stories and if you depart the flickering tip of the fuse that burns in The Now and slip into the Past...oh, love...if walls could talk..! story upon story within these stories and with hundreds (maybe thousands) of stories on each block of Our Town, imagine the millions of stories reaching back to the multi-storied wigwams and longhouses of a thousand time lines ago...well. Billions..! maybe even Trillions...!!!??? of stories in this city alone...and all the other cities and countries and planets...and galaxies and... universes and dimensions...shoot! got to be at least a gazillion..! the mind burbles.
So, this story business is really something. and the story is...this story is...the story of a snout..a boysnout..a girlsnout...A Snout snorfling about...a Snout on the lookout for food, a Snout trembling with excitement at the thought of all the stories waiting to blow its..... schnoz! Its an adventurous snout...a devilish snout, an angelic snout....a snout for all seasons...your snout....my snout...our Snout... and this (I hear)...is its year.... Welcome to The Year...this year...The Year of the Snout...come share the story of this particular snout...The Glacier's Snout (? more later..) as it.... comes.... into.....Being....right here...in BigVille, USA..! Boinnngg!!!!...................................... It's The Year of the Snout...!!!!!

“Another Name for Home...”The place where the frozen wall of the last glaciation of the current Ice Age came to a halt and began to recede, leaving a jumble of ice-dozed terrain in its wake, is known, scientifically, as the “terminal moraine”. This geological phenomenon occurred right here on our island of Manhattan… ergo, we live, learn, work and play, at that very place referred to, colloquially, by geologists as “the glacier’s snout.”
