just won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate. While she was campaigning, she said something few in DC want to talk about:
“I’m the only person on this stage who will not support Chuck Schumer as leader.”
She said it repeatedly. On video. And she won.
Stratton isn’t alone. Senate candidates in four states are calling for to step aside. Democratic voters are making themselves heard — in Texas, in Maine, and now in Illinois.
The lesson from 2022 is clear: Democrats waited too long to have the conversation about Biden’s leadership. We can’t make the same mistake twice. If Democrats win back the Senate this fall, it’ll be because bold economic fighters won despite Schumer — not because of him.
It’s time for him to pass the torch. The voters have spoken. Now DC needs to hear it.
