We are proud to celebrate our scholars who attended the NYS MBK Symposium on May 21, 2026!

A special congratulations 🎉 to fellow selectee Davoul- we are incredibly proud of your achievement and all that this moment represents 👏🏾.

Our 2025–2026 Fellows, Brison and Carson, represented Eagle Academy with excellence, leadership, and pride. Thank you both for your hard work 💪🏾, commitment, and service to our community.

We were also excited to have 13 scholars in attendance who actively participated in engaging workshops, strengthened their brotherhood, and represented themselves with confidence, professionalism, and style 🤵🏾‍♂️ throughout the day.

Through our Chess in Schools program, our young men are building critical thinking skills 🧠, strengthening focus, and learning the power of patience and strategy- on and off the board. Every move matters, and every lesson counts.

Our 6th graders are trippin’… not literally 😅

They explored Central Park🌳🌳 to learn about the history 🧾of Seneca Village, a community founded by free Black New Yorkers in 1825. At its peak, the village had homes 🏠, churches ⛪, and a school 🏫 serving about 225 residents before the area was cleared to build the park.

History hits differentlydifferent when you learn it where it actually happened.

🔥 Become a Mentee. 🔥 The United Black Men of Queens Foundation, Inc. — in partnership with Eagle Academy for Young Men of Southeast Queens — invites you to our Mentoring Informational Sessions! 💼✨ Join our premier, FREE mentoring program empowering middle and high school scholars through leadership, life skills, and real-world experiences. From STEM, financial literacy, and etiquette to college readiness, civic education, and enrichment trips — mentors and mentees alike grow together through purpose and service. We are looking for adults mentors as well to give back their time, talent and treasure. We hope to see you there .
