It’s National Night Out Against Crime! It’s thrilling to join NYPD Community Affairs Bureau and the 120,121,122, 123 Community council precincts in Staten Island to bring the community closer together in a positive way. New York is safer than it has ever been thanks to the NYPD and to those who facilitate programs through the police department or through other city agencies such as The NYC Mayor's Office of Equity & Racial Justice . NYC Her Future used the opportunity to share information about the type of programs that we support and to connect with the community!!! We want to hear from you. Reach out!!!

It was exciting to participate with the ABCs of Planning project with NYC Department of City Planning at Washington Heights Library . We introduced young women 14-24 from across the five boroughs to careers in city planning including architecture, procurement, and design. The book of poetry teaches people of all ages about the steps that are considered in city planning. It has been 89 years since a new version of the book was published. As you may imagine, some things have changed. Contact NYC Department of City Planning to get your copy of the book.

✨Introducing EmpowHer: She Heals, She Thrives A digital storytelling campaign amplifying the real voices of girls ages 14-19 in NYC. This is a space for honesty, healing, and growth because your experiences matter, and you don’t have to face challenges alone.💛

This campaign is led by NYC Her Future’s YA50
participants: a group of 10 young women passionate about addressing the realities of young women’s mental health, but in an empowering way.

About YA50: Youth Action 50 (YA50) is a citywide leadership program that empowers NYC public high school students to take action on the issues that matter most to them and their communities. Students meet regularly with peers and adult facilitators to build leadership skills, plan community service projects, and make their voices heard. YA50 members will gain hands-on experience in civic engagement, community organizing, and teamwork while earning community service hours and contributing to positive change in New York City.
